Projects

The Ironbridge Railway Trust has maintained a low profile and concentrated its efforts on promoting the concept of rebuilding a railway link between Ironbridge and Buildwas. In preparing for the scheme, we have obtained items from the national rail network as they became available. Typical of the items rescued are:

  • Cosford Signal Box
  • Llanidloes Road Level Crossing gates
  • The Signal Lever Frame from Shirley Signal Box.
  • The Signal Lever Frame from Banbury North Signal Box
  • The Ticket Office counter from St Erth station, Cornwall

Occasionally we need additional volunteers to help recover and restore items we have in store. If you would be interested in volunteering, please e-mail our Procurement Manager who will keep your name on file and keep you informed as to when working parties are required. Future projects - we have several projects lined up, however, to safeguard these items we feel that their identification should not be made public.
